Natural Akita cedar x walnut
Natural Akita cedar is an Akita cedar that is over 200 years old and grew upstream of the Yoneshiro River in northern Akita Prefecture. Natural Akita cedar, which is characterized by its extremely tight, beautiful straight grain and elegant candy-colored luster, has become famous throughout Japan as one of Japan's three most beautiful forests, along with Kiso cypress and Aomori cypress.
Since logging was completely prohibited in 2013 and it is currently difficult to procure it on the market, we used part of the valuable inventory in our warehouse.
Wood is a symbol of the glory of our hometown, Noshiro City, which was once called Mokuto, and can be said to be a part of our soul. Combined with walnut, which is a good color match, the design is full of warmth and strength.
