Kikyo brown rice coffee is a medicinal drink made by carefully roasting Kikyo (bellflower root), which is also used as a herbal medicine, and Akitakomachi brown rice.
All ingredients are grown in Happo-cho, Akita Prefecture, at the foot of the World Heritage Site Shirakami-Sanchi. We use 100% raw materials from Happo Town, with no additives.
Although it has a coffee flavor, it does not contain coffee beans and is caffeine-free, so it can be safely consumed by children and people who do not want to consume caffeine.
Bellflower is apparently brewed and made into tea in Korea and other countries. We added bellflower to Akitakomachi brown rice and roasted it to create a flavorful medicinal drink.
The subtle sweetness is in harmony with the bitterness laced with aroma. Please try it once.
